Personal Holistic Health Plan for the Next 4 Months

Mindful Resilience is a designed as a four-month program that feels like having a "personal trainer" that will give you the tools, guidance, and support to attain & maintain optimal health. We begin with a comprehensive assessment of all issues -- physical, mental & emotional -- and how these align with your current "life purpose" goals.

These are your near-term goals, such as advancing in your career, learning a new sport/hobby, strengthening relationships with loved ones, getting pregnant, or feeling more motivated.   This means, for example, that an office worker, teacher, or retiree will each receive an entirely different, uniquely customized, written, health blueprint that fits within the context of their particular "life purpose goals".

And you'll use your health blueprint to stay on track during the 4 months of your program. Of course, all sessions are self-paced --- so you can take longer if "life intervenes".

The Schedule is Self-Paced. You decide when you want to start.  And while the program is designed to be completed in 4 months, you are welcome to stretch it out to fit it into other plans you have in the works.

 


In-Person Sessions (12)

These in-office (1+ hr) sessions will draw upon multiple therapeutic techniques including:

  • acupuncture
  • cranial-sacral massage
  • continuum montage
  • indigenous Peruvian (non-drug) energy work
  • Earth Pulse somatic embodiment meditation
  • dietary/environmental sensitivity clearing therapy
  • & other healing modalities as appropriate

 

 

Remote Sessions (4)

You'll wrap up each month with a remote check-in on Zoom (or phone), where we discuss what's working/what's not -- and make any course corrections needed to accelerate your progress.

What Is "Mindful Resilience" & Why You Need It

Stress is not just the complaint of your teen-age daughter or "Type-A" mid-career professional.  Stress is the "dis" that takes the body away from its natural state of "ease". (As in "dis-ease", right?)  It's important not to confuse the "stressor" or "stress factor" from the "stress" itself.  "Heavy traffic" during your morning commute is a stressor.  Being "irritable" for the rest of the morning is the stress.

Biologists know that "stress" is what our nervous systems have evolved to handle.  We often hear about the "fight or flight" response. "Fight or flight" is a hard-wired aspect of the human nervous system that served us well for millennia -- until we emerged as the "top dog" on this planet with no more lions, tigers & bears to fight or flee from on a daily basis.  The problem is that our bodies still launch the same reaction -- when we get aggravated in heavy traffic or frustrated with office politics.

That "stress response" impacts our health in multiple ways:

When stress provokes the "fight or flight" response -- our immune system shuts down.  Our bodies gear up for action -- fighting germs is put on hold.  Modern life, with its fast pace and a mass media keeps everyone on "high alert" -- and our immune systems on "pause".  It's no wonder that "auto-immune" diseases have become so common -- affecting most of us in one way or another.

Our "stress response" includes hormones & other chemicals which generate LOTS of energy. And all that Energy has no immediate outlet, so it pools in our muscles & organs -- and weakens our bodies.  Our bodies are like an electrical appliance.  If we do not engage in an actual "fight or flight" -- then all that energy burns us out from the inside ... just like the electric motor of a fan will burn out if the blades of the fan get blocked from spinning.

Pricing
